Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation

In summer of 2023, SBA completed construction on the Chandler 5-Plex and 3-Bungalow Residential project for the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation, located in Port Perry, Ontario.  SBA was retained for the civil and structural portion of this project along with contract administration and inspection to complete construction of all residential units. SBA acted as the Lead Consultant in coordinating with the Architect and Mechanical/Electrical Consultant from the pre-design stage, design stage, tendering and eventual construction of the 5-Plex and three bungalows. 

This project was important to Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation, helping their community to grow into the future.  These new homes were connected to the newly installed water distribution system and wastewater services, which enabled the removal of a Boil Water Advisory established in 2022. The project was tendered in the spring of 2022 and successfully completed summer of 2023.
