SBA was retained by Lac Seul First Nation to complete the design of a new Wastewater Treatment Building within the community of Frenchman’s Head which included a Rotating Biological Contactor Wastewater Treatment Process with two new raw sewage pumping stations. The construction of this Wastewater Treatment Plant commenced in April 2022 and was completed in March 2024. Frenchmen’s Head was experiencing a number of persisting issues with their existing outdated septic systems. This new Wastewater Treatment Plant was designed and constructed to meet the Community’s future 20-year needs with the new state of the art RBC treatment system. With the completion of the Wastewater Treatment Plant the Frenchmen’s Head Community has been able to flourish and vastly expand their housing and businesses.
SBA completed the civil, process, architectural and structural design and also provided contract administration and quality assurance/site inspection services on this project throughout the entire duration of the construction phase. The overall construction cost of this project was approximately $12.4 Million.
